Living Observatory develops and maintains a community platform built on a structured database that connects people, projects, places, and research. The platform can serve as a field notebook, a lab webpage, and a place to share project updates, and more. Together, members’ contributions create a growing archive of restoration projects and data and valuable resource for learning.
Discover and contribute
Projects: Members can create project webs, organized like chapters, that connect people, places, and photographs in the database to tell a project’s story. Share your project.
Insights: Record observations, connect evidence to people and places, and organize ideas with tags. Choose what to share or keep private, and reflect together through discussion threads. Draft an insight.
Photos and albums: Members can share field snapshots and photo-monitoring records that capture the arc of change.
